With the growing use of computers in our homes and offices, the risk of various health issues, especially for the eyes, has been rising more than ever. Computer eye syndrome is one such issue that has been affecting more and more people in recent times. While it may not cause any permanent damage to the eyes, it certainly inflicts a lot of pain and discomfort to the eyes that affects your performance at work and your day-to-day activities. The main reasons why most people suffer from computer eye syndrome are the improper use of eyeglasses and working in an unsuitable environment.

Symptoms of Beverly Hills computer vision:

    • Eye strain: When you begin to experience discomfort or tiredness in the eyes, you may be suffering from computer eye syndrome. You may even experience aching and soreness in and around your eyes.
    • Dry eyes: Most people forget to blink their eyes while using laptops or mobiles. Due to this, the moisture in the eyes gets reduced and causes dryness and irritation.
    • Headaches: When you continuously stare at the screen, you put too much pressure on the nerves of the eyes. This causes eye strain and can contribute to the development of headaches.
    • Poor vision: Because of putting too much pressure on the nerves of the eye for an extended period of time, you may begin to experience blurred vision. This condition may be temporary but it is also a warning sign for you.
    • Double vision: There have been many individuals who have reported seeing double images on the screen. This condition is caused because the eyes are not able to focus properly.
    • Difficulty in focusing: People with computer eye syndrome may also experience issues while focusing on a particular image. Along with this, when you try to shift your focus from the screen to other objects, you may face difficulties in seeing things clearly.
    • Itchiness in the eyes: The dryness in the eyes and exhaustion may cause irritation along with burning sensations.
    • Pain in the neck and shoulder area: The majority of people who use computers do not maintain proper sitting positions. This puts uneven pressure on their neck and their shoulder and causes discomfort in these areas.

There are various other symptoms of computer eye syndrome, but most of them are temporary and can be improved with proper rest and treatment. One golden rule while using computers is that you should take a 20-second break and look at an object that is 20 feet away every 20 minutes.
