    Commercial (C-11): A C-11 license allows you to work on any commercial building or structures. You can perform alteration, repair, installation, maintenance, and replacement of any electrical system. You can also work on;

    -Projects with less than 600 volts. This includes overhead and underground electrical power and distribution systems

    -Interior and exterior lighting systems

    -Installation of fire alarm systems (Class A and B)

    -Installation of cathodic protection systems

    -Installation of systems that use alternative energy sources like solar, wind, and hydropower

    ELectrical (K-11): K-11 licenses are non-restricted and allow you to work on all projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial. You can also perform any type of electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and repair.

    -You will be able to obtain an electrical contractor’s license which will allow you to bid on and work on larger projects.

    -You will be able to join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) which is a union for electrical workers. This can lead to better job opportunities and higher pay.
