Bed Bugs are pests you are likely to find in your home. Sometimes, you can see them, and other times, you just wake up itching in bed and do not know why. These tiny bloodsuckers cause havoc to your furniture and sleep patterns with ease. It is, therefore, best to read this article to get rid of them. Step 1. Check the area with bedbugs
The first thing to do when you are trying to get rid of the bedbugs is to find where they are. You can do this with the help of a flashlight to search for the tiny yellow eggs and live bedbugs around your bed.
You should also investigate the other areas of the house, like the bookshelves, furniture, walls, windows, closets, mattresses, etc. You will find stains and odors around the bedbug-covered areas, so you can follow them and find them.

Step2. Vacuum and contain the bedbugs

Throw the furniture items affected most by bedbugs. Also, put bed bug traps on the appliances or places that cannot be washed and fix the cracks to prevent the bedbugs from hiding.
Step3. Kill them using non-chemical methods
Now, if you have collected the bedbugs, then it is time to kill them. To do this, you can follow the chemical and nonchemical process. The non-chemical process is quite simple: you can put the affected clothes, like mattresses, in extreme temperatures.
So you can wash the mattress with hot water and dry it with the highest temperature setting. Alternatively, you can freeze the sheets in the freezer at 0° Fahrenheit.
You can also steam the area using a steamer to kill the bedbugs or use a desiccant like a silicate to kill the bedbug since desiccant like diatomaceous earth can dehydrate the bedbugs to a stage where they die.
Step4. Use chemicals to kill the bedbugs
If the non-chemical process is not helping you, then you can use insecticides and other chemicals with environmental protection agency marks to keep yourself away from any danger.
You can use insecticides like pyrethrins and pyrethroids or stronger pesticides like neonicotinoids. Furthermore, you can also use forgers and bug bombers as an effective way to get rid of bedbugs.
Step5. Inspect the areas at regular intervals
Getting rid of bedbugs will take time, so keep a look at the furniture and mattresses after a while to check if the bedbugs are back or not.
